Great read and I like your packing system it makes sense. My tips I use large micro firbe cleaning cloth as a towel about 12" by 18" dose the job fine fast drying and small I also tend to shower /swim last thing in morning after breaking camp/packing bike this way personally I feel relaxed /refreshed. and jandals/sandals/ flip flops etc lite weight easy to store handy during the days ride I would put them back on at a roadside lunch or if I plan to be off the bike for an hour or so cheers Dan

Thanks. Very good read. I agree with all of it. Especially with the "You always pack too much" part. I always run into that trap, no matter how little of the stuff I used on my last trip. It helps to keep a list on your trip what of the stuff you really needed. (Laptop, Tablet, Smartphone, really?). As a reminder for your next trip. I will save this article in my Evernote. Just discovered the Eagle Creek Bags a few weeks ago. In Europe they come with a hefty price tag but what a joy to handle them.
