Hi Michnus,

Could you maybe add a bit of detail on how you pack the laptop?
Eg Do you put it into a waterproof sleeve? Hard case? Pelican?
Do you place it in the topbox/bag, or in the side pannier/bag? And maybe on the non exhaust side, but against the bike?

In reply to Richard Ascough. Hi Richard, thanks for the reply. The Chromebooks sure are good stuff. The only reservation I have against them is the need for wifi or data. I think for long term overlanding you would want to have a balance and use a device that is also good off line and would not rely for wifi it data to work. The Surface Pro4 we have been using for the last year and it is one hellova machine. In fact I think it will be better than an Apple mac.

Thanks for your great list of Travel Laptops, we have always preferred lighter laptops and the new range of Chromebooks including offerings from Asus are perfect for any business trip or vacation. We love Chromebooks for their speed and because we already use gmail and other google products.
