In the past my business also used to sponsor many athletes (Motocross and Freestyle Motocross) and you hit the nail on the head on all your points regarding sponsoring individual(s). We have out tons of free stuff with promises to give us exposure and sales…..never happened. Fully agree on rather discount on product(s) with giving your sponsor exposure. Build that relationship with your sponsor and deliver your promises.
