Got knee braces when I moved from an ADV bike to Enduro (Fluid-Pro braces). Years of many sports and too many minor injuries left both my knees somewhat fragile and unstable.
Saved me from at lest 2 serious injuries while riding.

Now moving back to an ADV bike, fully intend to wear them when I plan on going off-road.
Braces make perfect sense.

Hi Jeremy, nope not really, I inflate and deflate tyres often and also do go around pitching a tent while wearing them and they do not really bother at all. I can't say that it is any more of a hindrance, and that is now using them for 4 years.

How do your knee braces work with kneeling? I spend a lot of time around camp or working on the bike on my knees, so this is important to me. Since the patella guard is floating, I think kneeling with the braces on might be uncomfortable.

Hi Rafal, I use the Badlands suite and the C-frames just fit under my pants. I have to add I have pants that is a size bigger than I normally wear which might make a difference.

Thanks for your article. Knee braces are an investment, indeed, but the main reason why riders do not wear them is because we can not try them on before we purchase. As simple as that. I can’t find a local shop where i can can try on the different manufacters options (at least in Spain). Where can I compare Leatt, EVS, Asterix, Mobius etc . Knee braces fitment is crucial, and we all agree we should not buy them without try them on first, but we end up buying on line cause it’s the only posibility. But it’s a mistake. And that’s why me and many others riders do not wear knee braces.
