Dan, it is a bit of a love-hate thing with Tubliss. Yes they work, but we need to carry more stuff, meaning spare inner tubes, the plugs to plug as if tubeless, they have more work to be done to fit them properly and balancing is an issue with the 70gram rim lock.
So for now, we just go old school standard tubes 😀

Hi Pepe, I am not sure about the speed rating. But I can tell you in Ethiopia we had if I remember correctly 9 front tyre blow outs between Elsebie and myself and every time it was as easy as just cruising to a stop. The Tubliss secures the bead of the tyre to the rim and thus the normal way a tube type tyre that climbs off the rim does not happen with the Tubliss fitted.
In fact I think if you want a safe way to make you will not have issues with a front tyre blow out at speed is to use a Tubliss. 🙂

What is the speed rating of these Tubes? Can I fit it to my F800GS and still do high speeds through the Karoo on the N1 the day I have to?

Nope unfortunately not. You need to carry a small high pressure race hand bicycle pump. We use one with high pressure setting and a normal setting. It’s small and also a back up if the electric pump fail.
