Visas Visas are required by SA passport holders.
Visa’s can be obtained in Ethiopia for Sudan. Important the visa is only valid for 30days from issue.

Documents Required:
Valid passport of the driver
Certified copy of vehicle registration papers in the name of the driver
Letter of authority from the registered owner if the vehicle is not owned by the driver
If vehicle is still being financed, carry a letter of authority from the bank (must include dates of travel) together with the vehicle license papers.
Third-Party Insurance: Compulsory – obtained at the border post
North Sudan: For assistance in clearing vehicles in Wadi Halfa.

Note:
- Mazar can arrange that motorcycles if not too many. Actually just two can go directly on the ferry. You would need to drain all the fuel into a container which will be kept by the Ferry Captain and will be returned when docking in Aswan.
