ATG – All Terrain Gear Multi fuel stove

ATG – All Terrain Gear Multi fuel stove

Not much went wrong with this stove over the last 17 months of travel. Used nearly every day, twice a day it only needed a couple of O-rings once in a while and regular cleaning due to the dirty fuel. Preparing the stove in the mornings was a relaxing ritual for us. It’s like an old man preparing his pipe after a huge meal. Pump, fire-up to prime, and listen to the faint whistling sound of the stove as it starts to burn and then the nice of the smell of coffee 20 minutes later.

Multi-fuel stoves are perfect for areas where there is limited availability of Butane/Propane gas canisters and LPG gas. Petrol is available.

What we like:
  • It cost less than most other multi-fuel stoves on offer in the market.
  • This one can be repaired by anyone and O-rings are standard sizes, except if you have 10thumbs then use a credit card and stay in a B&B.
  • It ran on dirty Ethiopian petrol and anything else that smelled like petrol.
  • Construction of the stove and the stainless steel parts makes for a robust and strong unit and can take quite a beating.
  • Since most parts of the pump are made from aluminum and not plastic it is really easy to fix and maintain and bend stuff back into place if need be.
  • This stove comes standard with a gas attachment for the EN417 travel gas canisters, best of both worlds.
  • Using a Leatherman is enough to clean and fix this stove.
  • This is well suited for use far away from civilisation.

ATG-All Terrain Gear Multi fuel stoveThe stove made for Africa.

FEATURES FROM THEIR WEBSITE:
  • Proven Reliability: The stove is designed with ease of maintenance in mind. It can be repaired with the most basic tools. O-ring seals can be obtained from DIY shops. Repairs can be done without sending the stove or parts back to a service agent.
  • This stove does it all!  Benzine (white gas), leaded or unleaded petrol. The stove can operate on liquid fuels and gas with the same nozzle. Use Butane/Propane or LPG gas with additional attachment.
  • Compact: Fold small and pack into most travel pots.
  • Field Maintainable: Shaker Jet technology and smart engineering allow for cleaning and maintenance in the field. The stove is made from Stainless steel and all cast Aluminium parts.
  • Screw on gas attachment: Runs directly from EN417 type screw-on gas canisters from outdoor outlets, it’s a perfect partner for international travel.
  • Extra-Stable: Retractable legs and pot support provide a secure platform. The ATG stove is one of the toughest stoves for use with big pots. Rubber padded feet allows for extra grip and stability on uneven surfaces.
  • Flame: Wide flame for even heat distribution.
  • Lower overall ownership and cost: The overall lifetime cost of ownership for multi fuel stoves are lower than for gas canister burner stoves. Unleaded fuel are still less expensive than per liter than for gas canisters.
  • Eco friendly: With multi-fuel stoves, there is no need for the added waste of discarding with gas canisters.
  • Low ownership cost due to lower price of fuel vs gas canisters.
  • Personalise your stove by adding only the cooking items that suit your needs.
  • Lifetime warranty
